Oh, wat doet me dat goed; zoveel lieve, ontroerende reacties op mijn verhaal over Jet. Echt heel veel dank aan iedereen!

Dag Jet...

Mijn lieve oude dametje is er niet meer. Gister ging het ineens niet meer. Jetje, 17,5 jaar oud, blind, doof en een klein beetje aan het dementeren volgens de dierenarts. Een heel klein wereldje van mand, bak en brokken. Toch altijd spinnen en op haar rug gaan liggen voor een 'buikiekroel'. Gister niet. Gister geen gespin. Gister brommen en hijgen en niet meer lopen. Dus haar uit haar lijden moeten verlossen. Met pijn in m'n hart.

Dag lieve meid. Groetjes aan Frits.

{Yesterday I had to say goodbye to my little old lady Jet. She was 17,5 years old, blind and deaf but still going strong. Till yesterday. I had to let her go. So sad.

Traveling vintage item

Op het Feestje van Oh Marie! waar ik laatst over schreef, kreeg iedereen een pinata met een gekringloopt cadeautje erin. Maar het is niet de bedoeling dat wij dat presentje zelf houden... Nee, de opdracht die erbij hoort luid: fotografeer dit item in je eigen interieur, plaats het op je blog en geef het door aan een volger die er dan weer hetzelfde mee gaat doen. Wat een leuk idee, Marlous!
Dus hier is mijn foto van een heel lief geborduurd vogeltje. Met de vraag: wie wil er tijdelijk voor dit vogeltje zorgen voordat het weer verder vliegt? Laat een reactie achter en wie weet komt Mees binnenkort even bij jou wonen.

Oh Marie!

Afgelopen zaterdag was de launchparty van het nieuwe online magazine Oh Marie! Een initiatief van Marlous van Planet Fur. Het eerste nummer van Oh Marie! had als thema 'vogels'. (En die vogels zag je echt overal terug; in kleding, het behang en de cadeautjes voor Marlous.) Het is een heel mooi magazine geworden, prachtig vormgegeven door Carper Boot en vol met mooie foto's, inspiratie en DIY in de stijl die heel kenmerkend is voor Marlous; een mix van strak modern en felle kleuren, kringloop, kitsch en retro. Als je ook het eerste nummer wilt downloaden, ga naar Oh Marie!
Het was een heel gezellige boel met heel veel bloggers op een fijne locatie (Le:en in Utrecht, echt super!) met heerlijk aziatisch eten.
En we kregen allemaal een cadeautje; een pinata met een klein pakje erin en een heel speciale opdracht. Hierover snel meer!
