Petra heeft een hele leuke tutorial op haar blog geplaatst. Hierin beschrijft ze heel duidelijk hoe je deze hoes voor een opschrijfboek kan maken van de vrolijke Eline's Winterhuis stof.

News and beautiful rose

Eerst wil ik jullie deze mooie geschilderde kruissteek roos laten zien, gemaakt door Lucy van het Craftberry Bush blog. En haar hele blog is zeer de moeite waard. Kijk eens naar dit hart van muziekpapier!

En nu even wat spannends. Jullie weten dat het Eline's Huis boek in het Engels komt. Dit zal juni 2012 zijn. De titel wordt heel anders, heb ik gister gehoord, het was even wennen maar ik vind hem wel leuk eigenlijk. Het wordt: Stitch & Sew Home.

Nou hoorde ik gister van een van de grootste uitgeverijen op creatief gebied van Duitsland, dat zij ook heel graag BEIDE boeken in het Duits willen gaan vertalen!! Zo leuk. Vooral omdat ik dit contact zelf geregeld heb; via via kwam ik in contact met Ursula die voor mij een Duitse email stuurde naar deze Duitse uitgever. En ja hoor, nog dezelfde dag hoorde ik dat ze graag de twee boeken wilde bekijken. En nu gister mailde me ze het goede nieuw. Nu moeten de contracten eerst nog rond natuurlijk, maar ik heb goede hoop. Het eerste boek moet in september 2012 in het Duits verschijnen.

{And now something exciting. You know that the first book will be translated in English coming June. The titel will be: Stitch & Sew Home. It's quite different than the Dutch titel, but I think I like it. 
Yesterday I got an email from one of the biggest crafts publishers in Germany. They really like to publish BOTH of my books in German!! This is such good news, and the nice thing is that I organized it myself; I got in touch with Ursula, she's sent a German email to this publisher. And the same day the publisher emailed me back to ask for examples of the books. Yesterday I heard the great news. First some contracts have to be signed, but I think everything will be fine. The first book will be in German in September 2012.}

Verder, ja het gaat maar door, komt er een interview mét een zelfmaker van mij in het maartnummer van de 101 Woonideeën. Ik heb het artikel al gezien en ben er heel blij mee.

{The second thing; I will be in the next issue (March) of Dutch interior magazine 101 Woonideeën. It will be an interview and a craftproject. I've already seen this article and it looks so nice.}

Dan nog iets, jullie kennen het geweldige hippe Engelse handwerkblad Mollie Makes?! Ook hierin komt een interview met mij. In de serie 'Tea and a Chat'. Ik heb foto's gemaild en vragen beantwoord. Ben heel benieuwd hoe het eruit gaat zien. Dit interview komt in de Mollie Makes nummer 11, volgens mij is dit ook het maartnummer.

Sneak Peek made by Frences

In maart komt er een nieuwe babyserie uit, die ik ontworpen heb. Deze serie bestaat uit één paperbloc, vier Creatables, twee knipvellen, één babystempel en een grote stempel vol met nieuwe tekstjes (niet alleen baby). De knipvellen en het dessinpapier zijn unisex, dus ditmaal geen roze en lichtblauw maar geel en groentinten. Onderstaande geweldige kaarten maakte Frences voor het nieuwste nummer van Marianne magazine.

Embroidered denim

Op de Flavourites beurs kwam ik een dame tegen die het borduurpatroon van de roos en vlinder, wat ik gemaakt had voor het kruissteek kussen uit boek één, op haar jack geborduurd had. Dit vond ik zo'n leuk idee dat ik het even wilde laten zien.

{On the Flavourites fair I met a lady who embroidered my rose and butterfly cross stitch pattern on her jacket. I thought this was such a nice idea.}

Golden oldie

Een 'gouwe ouwe' van Lenet; mooi doosje met babyboek. Hij is al wat ouder maar ik had hem nog niet laten zien. (Gebruikt papier is Old Fashioned Nursery.)

Woon je in de buurt van Noordwijk en heb je zin om zondagmiddag 15 januari een winterse workshop te doen met Helga, Petra en mij, kom dan naar het Cultuurcafé in Noordwijk, tussen 14.00 en 16.00 uur. We gaan de gepunnikte glaasjes voor waxinelichtjes maken. Vuurtorenplein 6-10 Noordwijk. Toegang € 10,- incl. materialen, hapje en drankje.

Nieuwe kast {New cupboard}

Ik ben heel blij met de nieuwe kast die ik heb laten maken bij de firma Schijf. Antieke franse openslaande ramen zijn nu de deuren geworden. Oude steigerdelen voor de zijkanten. Nu nog verder inrichten....

En natuurlijk ben ik weer naar de Anthropologie winkels geweest in Londen!

Last week, at Christmas time, I was London. And nextdoor to super knittingshop Loop there is a very nice shop I didn't visit before. It's called Smug (13 Camden Passage, Islington). Their website is also very inspiring!!!

Woolen Christmas trees

Here are the woolen trees (and one wooden Eline's Huis inspired tree) that have been sent to me. Thank you all ladies, for sending me the photos. I like the 'hearts-tree' of Nienke and the sparkling tree of Katia best, so Nienke and Katia will receive a little present soon.
